Llansteffan, Carmarthenshire and beyond


The dog friendly Llansteffan Beach is just a 5 minute walk from Y Fflat. Here you can enjoy long walks, fishing, swimming, picnics on the beach and sandcastle building or just relax with freshly cooked fish and chips from the chip van on the beach. There is a 'ferry' which runs at specified times of the year.

The Wales Coastal Path is within a 10 minute walk from Y Fflat in Scott's Bay.

Scott's Bay is a 10 minutes walk and is perfect for lazy days on the beach. It is perfect for swimming when the tide is in.

The castle is 10 minutes walk away and has beautiful views across the estuary towards Worm's Head and Pendine.

Y Fflat is ideal for keen walkers, families, individuals and couples at all times of the year. We are pet friendly and accept one/two well behaved dogs. For those who want to eat out, the nearest pub/restaurant is a 1 minute walk from the property.

The village of Llansteffan has two pubs and restaurants, a beachside cafe, a local village shop and two art galleries. The Summer Fiesta is also an event not to be missed!

We are 10 minutes drive away from the nearest town of Carmarthen. Here you will find a range of eateries, supermarkets, high street shops and independent shops. There is a VUE cinema, bowling alley and a leisure centre for days when the weather might not be in your favour.

Situated in Carmarthenshire, close to the Pembrokeshire border, Y Fflat is in the perfect location to explore the whole of West and Mid Wales including Pembrokeshire and the Gower Peninsula, along with Caldey Island and the Dylan Thomas' Boathouse in Laugharne. Local attractions include Tenby, Saundersfoot, St David's, Pembrey Country Park, the Gold mines, Gwili Steam Railway, Folly Farm, Manor Park, The Dinosaur Park and the Botanical Gardens to name a few!
